Our Growth
Through its swift rise, the organization has garnered widespread recognition for its unwavering dedication to raising awareness, championing social justice, and striving for equality for individuals of Asian descent. Initially conceived as a singular effort, The Collective has grown into a formidable entity comprising a diverse cohort of 30 individuals and an executive board of 10. This growth reflects the organization's resonance within the Asian community and its broader significance in the realm of advocacy.
Personal Journey
At its core lies the foundation of Madeline's personal journey, marked by experiences with transracial adoption, as well as enduring encounters with microaggressions and discrimination. Drawing upon these deeply-rooted ties, Madeline established The Collective as a haven where Asian voices are not merely heard, but also seen and acknowledged. Madeline’s commitment to advocacy took root during her high school years, whre she devoted herself to combating anti-Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives. Her endeavors expanded beyond the confines of educational institutions, reaching into workplaces and echoing within the halls of state legislatures and local nonprofits across the tri-state area.
